Continue reading »]]> Buerk! The Newsical had its London debut last week as it played three nights at the Network Theatre in Waterloo.

All three nights sold-out with audiences loving the show and plenty of press leading up to the opening on 2nd May 2013.

One of the press highlights was an interview that co-creator and lead actor Greg Jameson did with So So Gay which they prefaced with ’we haven’t laughed this much during an interview in ages, so if you’re drinking tea, put it down safely now.’

Continue reading »]]> Following two sold-out performances at Seven Arts in Leeds in 2011, hilarious comedy musical ‘Buerk! The Newsical’ is coming to London’s Network Theatre. Playing three nights, Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th May 2013, the hit show will be making its much-anticipated London debut.

‘Buerk! The Newsical’ comes from the minds of Tom Bailey and Greg Jameson. Using TV newsreader Michael Buerk as the story’s hero, ‘Buerk! The Newsical’ is a fictional look back to the 80s reimagining Buerk’s career at the BBC. Featuring characters based on iconic TV personalities including Moira Stuart and Ian McCaskill, the show is a hilarious and irreverent look at what life could have been like for Buerk.

With original songs penned by the show’s creators Tom Bailey and Greg Jameson along with musicians Allan Stelmach and Mark Kingston, ‘Buerk! The Newsical’ is the funniest new British show to grace the stage in recent memory.
