Welcome to the Official Website for Buerk! The Newsical

Calling all theatre producers

News just in: attention all theatre producers and directors. Do you fancy taking on a hit comedy musical about our nation’s hero?

Now that the rest of the country has caught up with what we have been saying all along and embraced Michael Buerk as a national icon, the time is ripe for Buerk! The Newsical to hit the stage again, and cash in on the wave of popularity I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has brought to our subject.

Buerk! The Newsical has already played to sell-out crowds in Leeds and London, and is a comedy musical jam-packed with jokes, smutty songs and 80s references.

Co-writer, and originator of the role of Buerk, Greg Jameson, was on The Hit List, being interviewed by BBC Five Live’s Emma Barnett about Michael Buerk and the musical. Listen one hour and fifty-seven minutes in.

If you fancy taking on Buerk! The Newsical as a prospective project with your own production, drop me a line at greg@entertainment-focus.com with your proposal, and we can share the book and music with you. Long Live Buerk!
